Now that weather is getting warmer it is a great opportunity to get outside and do some exercise and get moving.

Physical activity can reduce the risk of back and neck pain. Active people are less likely to be overweight and carrying excess body weight can typically strain the back. Performing some core strengthening exercises is another way to decrease your chances of spinal pain.

Did you know that staying active can reduce the risk of suffering from many major illnesses? The long term affects of exercise can lower blood pressure, improve cholesterol, weight management, and prevent osteoporosis.

A sedentary lifestyle is bad for your body. Staying physically active doing exercise can undo the negative effects of prolonged sitting. Sitting throughout the day takes a toll on our bodies and causes issues with proper alignment of the hip and spine. Often times when you spend a lot of time in the chair, your upper body posture can worsen causing you to slouch or rounding your shoulders which leads to having a tight neck and shoulder.

A good goal is to try 30 minutes of activity a day whether it be playing a sport, walking, or jogging. The key thing is to find something that you enjoy doing so it doesn't feel like work.
