A Meal Plan With a Low Carb Diet That Can Save Your Life

A diet is considered a low carb diet if it restricts carbohydrates such as those found in sugary foods, pasta, and bread. The diet is usually high in protein, fat, and healthy vegetables. There are many types of low carb diets and studies show that they can cause weight loss and improve health. A low carb diet meal plan would include the basics of meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, healthy fats and oils, and even some tubers and non-gluten grains. Avoid eating sugar, wheat, seed oils, and trans fat and other low fat products that are highly processed.

The foods to avoid are:

  • Soft Drinks
  • Fruit Juices
  • Candy
  • Ice Cream
  • Gluten grains of wheat, barley, rye, and pastas
  • Trans fat or partially hydrogenated oils
  • Omega 6 seed and vegetable oils
  • Artificial Sweeteners of Aspartame, Sacran, and Sucralose.

A low carb food list to eat that are healthier are:

  • Fish of salmon, trout, and haddock,
  • Vegetables of spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots,
  • Lean Meats of lamb, pork, and chicken
  • Fruits of oranges, apples, pears, blueberries, and strawberries
  • Seeds and nuts including almonds, walnuts, and sunflower seeds
  • Healthy fats and oils to include coconut oil, olive oil, and cod fish liver oil.

It is recommended that you sit down and work out a menu for one week which is low in carbohydrates. They would include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Vary the different types of foods so you have a variety throughout the week with some overlapping. By doing a diet that includes plenty of low carb vegetables it is your goal to remain under 50 grams of carbs per day. Remember it is important that you have a healthy diet plan and menu available and this will help with your overall health goals.
